Joseph Dong

My name is Joseph Dong and I am a freshman at Wesleyan University. As I heard about the multi-disciplinary open curriculum and the encouragement of taking classes outside your preliminary major, this place pulled me into an environment to grow into new spaces and promoted cross-department collaboration of skills and knowledge. While having a particular interest in the realm of biology and chemistry, I have an interest in majoring in Microbiology and Biochemistry. I look forward to absorbing new knowledge and experiences either in research, in fields, or in the lecture hall. Fostered by the structure of the university’s class availability, I am continuing my pursuit in improving my art — both in studio physical media, and digital software. That said, though I may not be the most tech savvy, I am decently versed in digital drawing applications. I will never say no to an opportunity to be creative, but know I can observe things from a more logical perspective. My inspiration coming to life from my brain to my hands to the medium in front of me will never get old.
