Dianne Cernal
Hello! My name is Dianne Cernal and I am a budding freshman at Wesleyan University from San Francisco, California. Ever since I was young, I’ve always been in awe of how art can forge connections. I sought different mediums to convey my emotions and nonsensical ideas. In middle school, I started making short montage videos that I would post online, filled with little clips I took everyday of sceneries and moments with friends. This inspired me to continue my interests and apply to an art school, where I explored the various aspects of filmmaking even further, such as writing, production, and editing, as I had the opportunity to create my own short films and podcasts as well as work on the sets of others. This inspired me to continue my interests and apply to an art school, where I explored the various aspects of filmmaking even further, such as writing, production, and editing, as I had the opportunity to create my own short films and podcasts as well as work on the sets of others. I specifically worked with the Adobe Cloud using programs such as Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, and more. I soon fell in love with creative direction, specifically set and costume design, and am planning to pursue this field here at Wesleyan.

When I initially saw the description of this class, it immediately sparked my excitement as it offered me the opportunity to start my journey in psychology, which I have always wanted to explore, while practicing and building on my past experience in video and digital art.
